Cash for iPhones Complaints List

There are some cash for iphones complaints submitted to the popular scam reports web like scambook.com or ripoffreport.com, and here are some of them, please read them carefully, so you could decide to use this cash back company to cash in your iphone or not.

Nomy send her complaint here, here is what she said:
"AVOID CASHFORIPHONES.com Cashforlaptops.com and other sites associated with them, 100% fraud they never give you what they quote even if your used phone is flawless like only 2 months old they always devalue it after getting it then your screwed either pay to have it sent back or take the low offer always less than half."

This is come from Brad Mendelson, He said:
"They Are crooks. Had a iPhone 4 in
Perfect condition Brian claimed he could only pay $ 120.I told him to send back the phone. It was an argument. He was nasty impolite and a bully. Told me that he would finally ship the phone ups but I have to be home to sign for it. Asked if he would send it to my office he refused. Claims that he owns the company also claims he has no last name.

I hope . He goes out of business.
 Brad Mendelson, Cash4iphones.com"

Kenny share his cash for iphones complaint like this: "Looks like I have been scammed as well. I should have looked them up first. They have had my phone for 3 weeks now and I have got no response for the emails or calling them. The log into your account is bull shit because it does not work. I hate dishonest people!"

From my side, I doubt that the complaint above is legit after I read that he own similar site cash4iphones.com, might be he just a competitor and want to give negative impact to his competitors, only he and God who know the Truth.

And here are another cashforiphones.com complaints:

Mike Carter send his complaint here:"Avoid cashforiphones. They just aren’t honest. They will tell you you have not assessed your product properly. I feel like going to the NY Times and getting a consumer reporter to send in a new iPhone and see what they find wrong with it. Would make a great article. Also, I see cashforiphones has joined a lot of blog sites to try and prop up their reputation. Check around the internet and you will see very similar blogs posted during a short period of time. WordPress seems to have had an issue with them because they suspended the blog there."

RbtMartin said:
"Everything everyone has said here is completely true. I set them an iPhone 4S in mint condition and even included the original Apple box along with a set of original unused headphone, sync cord and charger. The website state $147...several days later at 5:30pm MST I received and email with an offer of $24. According to their online Terms & Conditions I have three day to accept or reject their offer it and get the phone returned. I called them at 8:00am MST the next day to reject their offer and request they return my phone. They said it was processed and they could not return the phone. I referred them to their Terms & Condition and they acted like that had nothing to do with it. After much haggling I settled on $100 to be paid to my PayPal account. After reading some of the complaints this might not be over because they agree to a price and then deposit less than the agreed amount.

These people need to be stopped...I suggest that everyone use their Social Media Accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.) tell everyone that his is a scam. I'm also going to report them to PayPal, since I'm sure they don't know that they have become an unwilling partner to this SCAM. Let stop this crooks."

David Austin just sent us his complaint to Cashforiphones:

"I've been taken as well. I sent them (2) iPhone 4S's, I was quoted $103 for each phone and received a check for $40 total. I wish I had done my research before trusting this company. It's not over for me, I've contacted the Federal Trade Commission about their fraudulent practices and I'm also going to see If my Post master general can do something about this since I opted to be paid by check, part of their deception was done using the USPS. It's sad that people have to take advantage of others instead of making a legitimate living"

Another cash for iphones complaint:
"Total thieves!!!! Stay away. My first mistake was not reading the reviews on this crooked outfit. I was quoted $357.00 or a perfect iPhone 5S. I was told I would either get $357.00 or an offer for less is my phone wasn't what I claimed it was. Today i got a message from paypal that $57.00 was deposited in my account. I immediately called and talked to an idiot that told me the phone severely depreciated since I sent it last week. I demanded they send the phone back and the jack ass offered me $200.00????. After a long discussion he told me "I agreed to their terms and conditions". He agreed to send it back but i would be shocked if he actually does. We need to figure out a way to stop these predators from ripping people off!!!"

Another ones...

"ok-so shame on me for trusting these id1ots. I had used another service in the past and got a fair deal. This time I was selling an IPhone so figured these folks focused on IPhones only and would give me a fair deal. They quoted $123 and today I received an email that they deposited $9 in my paypal account. I emailed asking for an explanation since it was in pristine condition. I blame myself because I always do my home work and look for reviews on several sites. I know I won't get this resolved through them so I am warning others--DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY."

"It's been 2 weeks and I can still barely discuss this rip off without getting infuriated. What a scam. I had pictures of my iPhone 5S - good pictures - that showed the phone was in excellent condition. No marks or scratches - I took very good care of it. I tried to sell it on ebay but after 2 deadbeat international buyers, I just wanted to get rid of the phone and a friend suggested Cash for iPhones. They offered me $60 on a Friday evening. When I called, a recording said they were closed over the weekend and to call on Monday. When I called Monday morning, the woman I spoke to - an officious ass - said I should have called over the weekend. Told her I'd tried several times. She then said they'd kick in an additional $180 because I'd been on hold for an hour. When I asked why I was getting less than I was LED to believe, she said their technicians found problems and scratches. That was an outright lie. Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do once they've got your phone."

"It's a SCAM. They offered me $145 for iPhone 4s and processed the phone for $22. When I called to get my phone back, they told me that they cannot process my request since I did not CALL within 3 days of the offer. Even though I sent an email requesting the return of the device within two hours of receiving the offer email of $22. I was told that they don't accept email as a notification of intent"

"This cashforiphones company is a rip off, they'll keep emailing you stating that they need you to have your carrier clear your ESN number for they could just sell your phone and never reimburse
you. they'll keep emailing you even though you respond back to theirs stating they never received your email for confirmation of the release do not send your phone to this company. when you try to email them back your email will come up as delivery failed company is blocked SMH lesson learned"

"I also fell for this scam. I was quoted $107 for my IPhone 4s I even set the original box with charger and ear buds. they gave me 8 dollars. they would not return my phone, they said it had already been processed and I've already been paid both lies. It's a shame that a company can swindle hard working people. I can't believe that they can get a way with this. I filed a complaint with the California attorney general. All there reviews are fake. I even left negative comments on the web sight but they never posted them. Total scam"

Cash For iPhones is a scam. There is no doubt about it.

I was quoted $113.00 for my Samsung Galaxy S3. They sent me $17. The phone was in almost mint condition - never dropped, in great working condition, not a scratch or a mark on it and it was kept in its case since the day I bought it.

Cashforiphone.com is a scam. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!"

  1. They ask you to disable your "Find my iPhone" app. If this is not a clear sign that it is a scam I don't know what is.

  2. I got scammed too..please just take your iphone to gamestop and sell it there if you want money fast. I regret so much sending to them...They say one price and then come up with bunch on balonyes

  3. They are truely a scam. Go the Nevada Better Business Bureau for Northern Nevada and they have hundreds of complaints. They quote a price on their website and send you less then 50% of what they quoted. This really is interstate fraud and they should be shut down. They have around 9 different websites and I do not know how they are still allowed to operate. File a complaint with the Nevada Better Business Bureau and they will help you recover your money.

    1. Thank you for recommending a way to help resolve this issue. I just received my check in the mail today. I'm unemployed and was counting on this money - $105 only to receive $20

    2. I cant find them in Nevada BBB to file a complaint?

  4. I have been extraordinarily disappointed by my experience with Cash for iPhones.com. First, after they gave me a quote, you sent me 80% fewer dollars than quoted -- with no explanation at all. That was unprofessional and possibly illegal.
Beyond that, I've tried to reach a human to communicate with them and get my phone back, and have had no responses for 2 weeks, despite their claim that they call back within 24 hours.
I will be sharing this story on every review site I can find, and will be sure to alert people to avoid their service completely.

Cash for iphones.com ranks at the very bottom of internet experiences that I've had.

  5. Sorry to say, a SoCal resident looking for an honest trade in and was duped. Offered $143, was "sent" $22 on an iPhone 4S. I have just lodged a complaint, let's see what happens.

    1. Please read terms, and conditions and fight them. I received 150 more because I fought them. They never gave me a new quote for the 40.00 I recieved, and I never was able to accept or reject there offer like stated in the T&C. They fought me all the way, and i told them i will contact an attorney because they are violating there own T&C. People you only have 3 days so if you read this get on it, get your money, and device back.

  7. I was quoted $107 and only received $10. I have called multiple times a day and have sent multiple emails and left multiple messages. No one ever answers the phone. I would like to fight them, but can not contact anyone. I am furious.

  8. There is no question but that these guys are a scam. I was promised $120 for my non-working iPhone 5. They actually gave me $20, with absolutely no explanation.

I've emailed, called, left messages... no response. I did get an email this week telling me that since they haven't heard from me, they will assume I accept their offer.

This is easily the worst customer service experience I've had in a long long time. I'd never use these guys again.

  11. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
On-line quote for iPhone 5 in case and wrapped in Ghost Armor the first time it left the box new from the Apple store. Fully working no defects, dents or scratches. Sent in the next day. 8 days later I got a deposit of $18 in my PayPal account. If you don't read their terms and conditions carefully, that deposit is an accepted purchase by them. You only have 3 days to call and reject their purchase. I called, rejected, and refunded the PayPal amount and demanded I get the phone back. They then wanted to give me nominally more money but nothing close to was it was worth. 3 demands later I got them to send it back to me. 10 days later I got it back, fully functional and working fine. These people are baiting customers with high prices and offering peanuts. A lot of time and a lot of frustration. Avoid this company at all costs!

  16. Cash for iPhones is absolutely a scam. Please do not fall victim to their unethical and most likely illegal business practices. I provided a mint condition iphone to them and they stated when they received it, that it would was not in good condition and only offered me 39.00 for it. When I challenged them they mysteriously bumped the price up but still did not honor the original quote. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau in the State of Nevada to file a complaint and I encourage everyone else who has been scammed to do the same.

  18. Cash For I Phones is a very deceptive lying company. They offer a big price but will not honor the bid. Then they refuse to return your phone and make you wait for hours to speak to a sales service person as required and tell you your phone is much worse than what you actually sent in. You are better to give it away than send it to them. Beware Do Not Use This Company.

  19. This company runs what I know now as a "bait and switch". They offer you a really great price for an item, make you promises that they will take care of it quickly and then once they get your item they keep it for weeks and then finally offer you a price so low on the item that is absolutely ridiculous and insulting.
I had a brand new ipad air generation 5 that I had used for 2 weeks. I just didn't care for it so I decided to sell it. It still had the plastic film on the screen that is how little I used it. This company offered me 373.00 which I thought was fabulous since I had only paid 400.00. They offered to send me a prepaid box, it took a week to get here and I mailed off the ipad (In its original box) the next day. It took a week to get it back. They promised me that they would get to it quickly. NOTE: I had written a note that if for some reason they couldn't offer me thte 373.00 to PLEASE call me first. It took them 10 days to look at my ipad. I received an email on a Friday night that they were going to send me a payment of 59.00!!!!! No one called me, they just gave me that offer that they would put into my paypal account.
I tried to call them immediately..how convenient...they were closed for the weekend. I sent numerous emails, they were replied to but they all said the same thing" There is nothing we can do on the weekend, please call at your earliest convenience on Monday morning."
I called first thing Monday morning..was on hold for 1/2 an hour. I was told that I needed to speak to the purchasing dept. At this point, all I wanted was my ipad back. The purchasing manager said my ipad had already been "Processed"..and there was nothing he could do!!!! I argued that I had just received the email Friday night, and was told I couldn't do anything till Monday, so how could they have processed it already without giving me a chance to talk to them??? He said they were open all weekend, I could have contacted them. He then said that he could only offer me 59.0 because the back was scratched (Lie), and the home button didn't work (LIE). We went round and round and round, everything the man said was a lie. I just couldn't get anywhere. I had used this company twice in the past with older computers and had always been so happy so this was such a shock to me that I was being treated this way. Finally he said he could add on another 141.00 making it 200.00 he could give me. REALLY?? How could he do that all of a sudden???? PURE SCAM
He promised to put the money into my account. I haven't seen it yet and dont really expect to. I have contacted the local Better Business Bureau in Nevada and will also be reporting them to the FTC. I am not about to take this lying down. They ripped me off for 173.00 without even giving me a chance to get my ipad back.

  21. They are scam artists using the bait and switch. I sent them a brand new ipad air 5th generation. They offered me 373.00 then came back offering me 59.00 after they received it. I wanted my device back, they told me it had already been processed even though they promised to call me first before doing anything if the quote was different. After waiting 45 minutes on the phone, I was handed over to the purchasing dept manager who after 20 minutes of fighting was able to offer me an additional 141.00 for my device. Everything that came out of his mouth was a lie. I have reported them to the BBB, FTC and Atty General.

  22. If I could give them less than one star, I would. What a SCAM!! They offered me $243 for an unlocked iPhone 5 before I sent it in, then only $35 when they received it. They claimed that it was for condition issues. The phone was covered by ghost armor, and inside a case for the entire time that I had it. On top of it, the person that I spoke to on the phone argued with me and said that I had to wait for 24-48 hours before I could speak with a manager. I asked them to cancel my order and ship the phone back to me. He said that it would be 5-7 business days before UPS could pick up the device and an additional week for shipping. I find that hard to believe as well. This place is a total SCAM!!

  23. they are clearly an anti Semitic company. The customer rep. accused me of being a cheap "jew" and that most jews are very cheap and usually do not honor whatever agreement they enter into. I was so angry I was actually shaking. And it is very hard to get me angry. They quoted me 150 for my iphone and later only deposited ten dollars in my account. The JDL should get involved with this company as well as the BBB. They are clearly a scam and highly immoral. thanks for listening. e.e.

  24. Avoid this company. They lie and decieve you into believing that your product is worth something; then they send you less than ten percent of the original quote. Then they make up excuses why they can't return your phone to you. They are bullies, and pride themselves on gouging the public. STAY AWAY!

  25. This company is dishonest, after an initial offer of $164 for my iphone 4s in mint condition, including box and charger, they offered me $23.

I answered their email refusing their offer and asked them to return my device.
They never did and sent me a paypal cheque for $23.
I called them numerous times without being able to get someone, only an answering machine hanging on on me.
Left 4 messages asking to be contacted, of course no one returned my calls.

This company's got to be out of business.

  30. I cannot believe I fell for this, I am usually very cautious but I read some articles that said that you did not always get the quoted price but they were fair. These must have been articles they wrote because I am having the same experience as everyone else, they offered originally $115 and 3 days ago sent me notice the offer was now $16 for my IPhone 4s in perfect condition and original box. I have sent request after request asking them to return it but they ignore it. I feel extremely stupid.

  35. Unfortunately I fell for the SCAM too. Sent in my perfect condition iPhone5 which had been kept in an OtterBox cover for 2 years and no scratches, and only used 5 hours 45 minutes for phone. They offered me $217 before I sent it in, then I received an e-mail that they would pay me $25 due to the condition and the current market prices. SCAM SCAM SCAM I have told them to return it. They probably never will, but we need to spread the word about them and the other companies under their name: ecyclebest.com and cashforlaptops.com

  36. THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM. I was quoted $203 for an iPhone 5. It was near-perfect condition. I received an email saying that they would offer me $15. I attempted to call them multiple times and spent more than an hour trying to get through to the "Purchasing Department" only to have my calls disconnected after a 30 minute wait. I also emailed twice to reject the offer and filled out their online 'customer service' form. I received a notification that they would be sending my check in the mail today. I called again and managed to speak with someone. Apparently, because I hadn't reached someone in person (after I tried multiple times) they claimed they had every right to keep the phone and send me $15. Apparently, it was my fault that they were unavailable to speak. They had a log of all the times I had tried to contact them and they suggested that I should have kept on trying in order to have my phone returned to me. Now it is "too late" as the phone has been recycled. Please do not use this service. Go with a reputable vendor. AT&T had offered me $80 so I should have done that. The best description of this service is THEFT.

  38. Me Too!!! I received $11 instead of up to $200 for my 5 iphone in very good condition. cashforiphones.com finally hung up on me. I asked for the $200 or my phone back. The purchasing dept said my transaction was closed and my phone was recycled, can not return. Request Denied. They claim that i was supposed to respond to a quote they sent me via email and that i had 3 days to reply. If no reply they assume you agree to the quote and send the check. Not happy.

  39. Definitely rip off artists. Original quote was for $197. My iPhone was in perfect condition, no scratches or marks and worked fine. Their quote was $11.

You can't send an email to reject the quote because they won't accept an email response. You can't get thru on the phone because it is always busy. If you do redial continuously and get lucky and get thru, they transfer you to their "purchasing department" where you sit on hold for 10 minutes until they disconnect you. If they do pick up, you get a recorded message that says "call back after 1pm" regardless of what time you call.

If by some miracle, you actually get thru and ask for you phone back, they tell you it could be up to 5 days before they can actually process the return and will raise their offer a couple of bucks and suggest it would be better to take the money.

I demanded my phone back and got it 8 days later.

    Do not send them anything.

  40. Total SCAM. I sent my pristine iPhone 5S in based on an initial offer of $287. Received the final offer of $43 - after their business hours so no way to contact them that day. I've called repeatedly to comply with their three day terms and conditions to return my phone. The ONLY number provided fails most times and when I've gotten through I've been placed on hold due to "high call volume" and then cut-off after 10 to 15 minutes.
